How To Join

Gorey scout group has about 125 members 14 leaders and a small parents and friend group.

Youth Members

There is a waiting list for all sections as they are presently full.
Unfortunately the list is quite long (some of the people have been on the list for 5 years)

Since beavers take in about 14 members a year you will need to have their name on the waiting list as early as possible.

The only section to take more than 1-3 off the waiting list is the beavers section. Cubs and scouts take their members first from the previous section before anyone comes off the waiting list.

The scout section will not be taking any new members off the waiting list in the foreseeable future due to a shortage of leaders.

We have recently opened a Venture section. Ventures will take members only from the scout section. If you have been in a previous scout group (scout section) and are living in Gorey Contact Us

Note

Being on the waiting list does not guarantee a place in the group. Pleases be patient as there is not much we can do about having queues. The number of members we can have in each section is dependent on the number of leaders and size of premises.
