Sep '08 - Venture scouts become there own section.
This September the venture scouts will become their own section with their own section leader and their own night to meet. All the ventures will be contacted by the new leader regarding when they will be meeting.
Aug '08 - Summer BBQ Cancelled
Unfortunately this summers BBQ has had to be cancelled as the field is water logged and is unlikely to be ready for the BBQ.
Aug '08 - Parts for new tent ordered.
This is a picture fo a tent similar to our new tent. Our one has only 2 extensions where the one in the picture has 5. It is about the size of the hall

Link ceremony
Well done and a pat on the back to all the Beavers, Cubs, Scubs 'n Scouts who stood around in the rain
watching their parents getting wet, during the Link ceremony last weekend. Congratulations also to the Stag Patrol for showing the Scouting Spirit during the year and lifting the Paudge O'Broin Scout trophy, to the purple Cub six for doing their best and receiving the Paudge O'Broin Cub Scout trophy and to the newly united Beavers colony for swimming up to the Cubs in the rain.
Lest we forget, thanks to Mary Fricker, from the National Training Team, who travelled all the way from Athy to present Angela, Anne and Denis with their woodbeads. To all the leaders who attended the Link, well done for all the work you put into your sections they are a credit to you, this is the praise I hear from other leaders who have met us and phoned our mailed me to mention that they saw you out there scouting with your charges
RNLI Raft Race 2007
Howarya! thanks for all your help with the Raft Race. Even though it rained It was a good day and we may just look back on it all and laugh about it all....one day.
Patrol Leader Training Course
Congratulations to the scouts who completed the patrol leaders training course last weekend. A good time was had by all.
Remember, you now need to do the rest of your Leadership Award.

Both Thursday and Friday night scout sections will now start at 7:30 as normal but finish at 9:30.
